relocation against dynamic symbol _objc_lookup_class

Hi, 

I tried to build the latest CVS core module and get the following linker error 
message while compiling gui:

        ../libobjc.a(class.o): gp-relative relocation against dynamic symbol 
_objc_lookup_class
        
The compilation is done with the current stable gcc release (3.2). I suppose, 
that I have to build the objc-runtime as a shared library. Is my oppionen 
right, and what have I to do?
