I did first check
https://savannah.gnu.org/bzr/?group=emacs
since I remembered that the bzr swwitch had been discussed.
Following the instructions there, I had earlier tried (and just
repeated)
the command given, and it bombs:
bzr branch http://bzr.savannah.gnu.org/r/emacs
bzr: ERROR: Not a branch: "http://bzr.savannah.gnu.org/r/emacs/.bzr/branch/".
