There's one major difference between Isearch and Magit: When Magit shows you
key options in a separate window, you aren't also looking at content in the
main buffer to see the results of your actions. With Isearch you are, so it
would take away screen real-estate from the very thing you're trying to see:
candidate hits within the buffer.
