Are you sure you did all the steps starting from autogen.sh and
running the configure script?

If yes, it means something else causes asnprintf.o to be added to
LIBOBJ.  What does the below show in the m4 directories (I think there
are two of them on the Android branch):

  $ grep 'gl_REPLACE_VASN\?PRINTF' *.m4
