  You can try building `--without-cairo` or just omitting `--with-cairo` (which 
still enables Cairo but may have correct stipple display).

   - The [emacs-mac](https://bitbucket.org/mituharu/emacs-mac/src/master/)[^1] 
port has stipple support.  `M-x version` should say `Carbon`, not `NS`.
