[Orgmode] Possible Bug: LaTeX inline math $X$ export as HTML

The following org-mode code:

The variables $X$ and $Y$ are mapped into function $f$ as follows: $f:
X \rightarrow Y$.
******************************************************************************
renders the final bit of inline math (the function definition)
correctly, but not the previous three dollar-wrapped symbols.

This could be a limitation of how CDLaTeX/org parses LaTeX, or it
could be a limitation of how MathJax parses LaTeX. Not sure which.
