Remember to cover the basics, that is, what you expected to happen and
what in fact did happen. You don't know how to make a good report? See

Your bug report will be posted to the Org-mode mailing list.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear org-hackers,
When I use org-export-as-pdf with the option to use bibtex in-between
(for reftex-mode), bibtex fails to produce the bibliography.
The non-working config is as follows:
'(org-latex-to-pdf-process (quote ("pdflatex -interaction nonstopmode
-output-directory %o %f" "bibtex %b" "pdflatex -interaction nonstopmode
-output-directory %o %f" "pdflatex -interaction nonstopmode
-output-directory %o %f")))
I could trace it down to this:
bibtex /abspath/to/file-without-ext # == %b
bibtex: Not writing to
/abspath/to/file-without-ext.blg (openout_any =
p).
I couldn't open file name
`/abspath/to/file-without-ext.blg'
To fix it, I just had to make sure that bibtex only gets the filename:
'(org-latex-to-pdf-process (quote ("pdflatex -interaction nonstopmode
-output-directory %o %f" "bibtex $(basename %b)" "pdflatex -interaction
nonstopmode -output-directory %o %f" "pdflatex -interaction nonstopmode
-output-directory %o %f")))
Best wishes and happy hacking!,
Arne
