Confirmed

Recipe:

1. Insert the following into a new Org mode buffer (note the indentation):

           \(x^{2}+3=\frac{2}{1}\)

2. Move point to the equation
3. M-x org-edit-special <RET>
4. M-x org-edit-src-exit <RET>
5. Observe the equation indented twice more
