At a glance, these seem like good tools (Zotero and Papis). I know for sure 
that what I'm doing would not be useful for automatically outputting scholarly 
references with all the formatting and details required for a professional 
paper. But I don't really need that myself, at this point. I supposed it might 
be useful though to have a system that can automatically pull all the reference 
information through DOI numbers or whatever, though again I'm not sure I need 
that. My approach is basically just a list of org-entries with a few code 
snippets to make things move along quickly, and then using a few convenience 
org functions to tag, search, atttach, etc. Still open-minded as to whether 
that would make an interesting talk.
