Could the fourway switch have an attribute that lets you set the direction
it is pointing in when it is created?  At the moment (v0.81) they are always
created pointing north, which should remain the default if no direction is
explicitly specified.

I am working around this by creating a fourswitch with no action or target,
signalling it to turn it to the required position and then setting the
action and target attributes.  Not very pleasant, but at least it works.
