Details:

The MDLC testcase gives rather large errors. Either the MDLC is broken, and
this basically since ever, or the testcase data is wrong.

Apart from that, switching off MDLC nearly does not change the forces,
therefore in any case the testcase doesn't seem to be a particularly good one.
