1) In defining relationships between knowledge types (what can be followed
by what) the default system configuration doesn't seem to support terminal
knowledge types (knowledge types that cannot be responded to). Is there an
easy work around for this?
Hmmm. The UI should check that each type is
a) a starting type or
b) can follow at least one other type
but the check works the wrong way! It actually makes sure that each
type has a follow-up.
I made a fix right away, so check out the newest version from CVS and
you're ready to go!
2) Is there a way to provide access to a "lite" version of FLE, without the
jamming and webtop tools? I only need the guided discussion part of the tool
for my project, and want to minimize complexity for the participants.
Hmm... You can comment out the tabs for jamming and webtop from
ui/FLE/hdr.html and then reload the dtml files (or create a new
instance of FLE). In addition you'll need to change the login link
in ui/FLE/index_html.dtml from "redirect_to_webtop" to
"courses/redirect_to_kb_on_some_course" so the user ends up in KB
after logging in.
In addition you'll want to comment out stuff like the buttons "Link to
Webtop" and so on.
Maybe it would be better to make a property out of this and then
comment out stuff if the property "FLE_LITE" has been set.
