Subject: | [fluid-dev] FS 1.1.2 alpha performance |

Hi David,
I've tested FS 1.1.2 alpha, latest changes, in a jOrgan real-time
scenario.
I regret to have bad news. The performance of FS 1.1.2 alpha in
relation to 1.1.1 release has suffered strongly by the latest changes. The
latency is increased that much, that I cannot run my bigger instruments
anymore. Those organs were running near perfectly with FS 1.1.1 release. With FS
1.1.1 release I had a near-zero latency while using the full organ with
many FS instances. Now the system resources max out ca. 50%-70% earlier,
and if I play a big chord with full organ, the system hangs and I've to restart
the machine.
I've tested anything with the parametres, both kernels and polyphony
settings - even reducing polyphony to 128 and channels to 16 gave no
improvement.
Sven has confirmed, he compiled no debug version.
Regards
Bernd.
