I moved that kpathing.c file to the fsci_dll files section from the sciv 
section. That kAvoidPath is gone now. The only thing that remains is

freesci.def : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _gfx_driver_null

I tried messing with that def by adding it to the freesci.def file....no 
dice though.
