Shouldn't that be "anyone not willing to help the committee with
publicity please take a step back". You may have more people left
standing in the front row that way :-)
It may be helpful to encourage 'volunteers' to knock together an outline
of the remit for this. I assume that comments will be official and from
an affs.org.uk email address, so:
- does copy have to be approved before sending?
- who decides what needs following up on?
- if there's more than one person managing this how do you manage who
follows up on what?
PR can be a very tricky business and needs a level head and dimplomatic
approach - I can think of projects that could have done better in this
area.
Why have I just had the sudden impression of a whole mass of people
stepping backwards behind me - could just be the drilling that's started
up somewhere outside I guess - I wonder if we still have water, or
whatever service it is digging things up at this time of night!
