[Fsfe-uk] Public money and freedom

Hello all,

Although not strictly software related I thought this will add one more
to the contact list of MPs who are for freedoms associated with
technologies.

Labour MP Ian Gibson, who chairs the committee (House of Commons Science
and Technology Committee) says

“If research is funded by public money, then it should be available to
the public for free,”

I know it is easy read between the lines but clearly there is positive
sentiments and direct addressing of very related (to software) issues.


BTW, did anything  interesting from Oxford with M$ attending the OSS
Watch event?
