Greetings, and thanks for your feedback!  Please also excuse my delay
in getting to this.  I've scanned the logs, in brief I think you
should add the following to the ./configure command line:

--disable-statsysbfd --enable-locbfd

Your bfd library appears to be custom built under user local -- it is
quite easy for the header and library to get out of sync leading to
crashes like these.  I failure persists, these options will at least
eliminate this possibility.
