Follow-up Comment #12, bug #37008 (project gnash):
After recompiling SoundManager2 with SWF dimension set to 240x240 px,
the text was displayed and another issue surfaced:
SM2 SWF V2.97a20101010 (AS2/Flash 8)
ExternalInterface available

Testing Flash -> JS...
Fatal: Security sandbox error: Got "undefined", expected
"remote" or "localTrusted".
Additional security permissions need to be granted.

It seems that Gnash was somehow, didn't implement
'sandboxType' property in 'System.security' class.
I'll retry in 0.8.11-git as soon as I got it work on my Debian Lenny box,
and I'll file another report if it's not fixed.
