[Gnash-dev] dblatex instead of fop?

Hi,

I was just trying to build the docs and realized that it requires which
requires sun's java. I don't want to start a "gnu vs. the world" flamewar, but
since we are a gnu project perhaps we should consider other options? And there
is also the (perhaps more important) matter of portability. 
A 5 minute research showed that dblatex (http://dblatex.sourceforge.net/) could
be a replacement. Any thoughts?
