I noticed that the "Souvenir" movie (download it from
http://www.atomfilms.com/film/souvenir.jsp ) freezes Gnash for a
couple of seconds between scene changes:
...
Effective frame rate: 16.67 fps (min 0.54, avg 22.64, max 25.42, 2662 frames in
117.6 secs total)
Effective frame rate: 24.00 fps (min 0.54, avg 22.64, max 25.42, 2665 frames in
117.7 secs total)
Effective frame rate: 0.16 fps (min 0.16, avg 19.47, max 25.42, 2668 frames in
137.0 secs total)
Effective frame rate: 24.79 fps (min 0.16, avg 19.48, max 25.42, 2671 frames in
137.1 secs total)
Effective frame rate: 24.00 fps (min 0.16, avg 19.48, max 25.42, 2674 frames in
137.3 secs total)
...
Older Gnash versions did not have this problem (but I get the feeling
that Gnash performs better in average).
Perhaps caused by timeline redesigns? Garbage collector?
-v or -va doesn't show anything unusual.
