I used Gnash-cvs, checked out today (March 25, 2008), to run 'testsuite/misc-ming.all/NetStream-SquareTest.swf' from the same source package, and encountered the following loading error: 13176] 19:18:36: SECURITY: Load of file /home/hongyu/WORK/Software/Gnash/Gnash/gnash-cvs-2008Mar25-ffmpeg/gnash/testsuite/media/square.flv forbidden (not under local sandboxes). 13176] 19:18:36: SECURITY: Gnash is not allowed to open this url: file:///home/hongyu/WORK/Software/Gnash/Gnash/gnash-cvs-2008Mar25-ffmpeg/gnash/testsuite/media/square.flv 13176] 19:18:36: ERROR: Gnash could not open movie: /home/hongyu/WORK/Software/Gnash/Gnash/gnash-cvs-2008Mar25-ffmpeg/gnash/testsuite/media/square.flv

Would you have any suggestions about the error message? I doubt such may not be due to FFmpeg-specific code in the source.

However, after I modified NetStream-SquareTest.as to load 'square.flv' from relative/current path, and then run gnash with NetStream-SquareTest.swf (placing square.flv in the same directory) built from the modifications, the video did show on Ubuntu-Edgy workstation, though not complete (which could be due to ffmpeg related issue). Attached is NetStream-SquareTest.swf, the modified version. The video did not show on Ubuntu-gutsy with the same gnash-cvs checked out around the same time, and I doubt about the dependent libraries, e.g. ffmpeg, etc., so I am rebuilding gnash-cvs and the dependent components on Ubuntu-gutsy.

Best regards,

Hong Yu

Now we have built 'NetStream-SquareTest.swf', and can play it with Macromedia's flash player. Which are the failure points in running Gnash-dev with 'NetStream-SquareTest.swf'? The 'TRACE XFAIL ...' messages? Thanks!

Yes, IIRC less tests then expected run.
More clearly, the video doesn't show up here.
