Are you running libtool 1.5 or 2.x ?

For libtool 2.x, libtoolize puts these in libltdl/libltdl. Libtool 1.5
doesn't use these files. It shouldn't matter if you use one version of
libtoolize to generate the files, and compile it on a different machine.
Are you building statically or dynamically ?
