I think this would be a sensible feature.
IIRC we tried but had a problem with browsers not sending the correct
event down the road thus leaving us in a state of ignorance about
being foreground or background. I could be wrong, or things could
have changed. Anyway if you want to try that out we'd be glad to accept
patches.
