i think it is time to drop the old library..
i have also this warning when using ffmpeg

Diverting av_*_packet function calls to libavcodec. Recompile to improve 
performance
What do you think?
BTW, i can pack also everything into some #ifdef.. but you know Benjamin.. :D 
and i'm scared!! :D
