Thanks. The control file is perfect.
For the version string in the changelog you should think of it this
way: this is the first modification by gNewSense of irssi, and it's a
modification of Debian version 0.8.15-2. So that becomes
0.8.15-2gnewsense1. If Debian updates their version (to 0.8.15-3) and it
needs no further changes by us, then we will pull in that update as
0.8.15-3gnewsense1. If we then discover another freedom bug and patch
it then we get 0.8.15-3gnewsense2.
You seem to have 2 patch files now. The "debian-changes" one is
probably automatically generated because you edited some files without
using "quilt edit" or "quilt add".
I'm looking forward to see a full shiny DEP-3 header on the patch. Feel
free to browse through our other patches [1] for inspiration.
