I have some reservations against the Los Alamos Computers. They seem
to insist on not pre-installing gNewSense 2.1. Upon browsing through
their models, I saw that most (if not all) of their available laptops
come with Intel wireless adapters that require nonfree firmware. This
firmware was removed on gNewSense 2.1 but is available in the older
2.0 release. So, buying a laptop from them means either depending on
nonfree software or receiving a not fully functional hardware.
This may be not a deal breaker for all since not everybody needs
wireless networking and one can always replace the wireless apater or
plug a USB/PCMCIA/ExpressCard adapter. Also it's definitely a positive
thing for gNewSense's visibility to be offered pre-installed. However,
prospective buyers should be aware of the limits of the hardware.
