Speaking of the local communities here, I'm a persistent attendee for BLUG, the newly established BGUG (Beijing Gnome user group), and OpenParty (a mixed tech group). Feel free to join us when you come to Beijing. My contribution to the project GNewSenseToMIPS: QA/usability testing and documentation.

The BLUG is very active and is one of the first Linux users groups, whose
members have had the possibility to experiment on the hardware from Lemote Tech.
They organised various actions, such as various group ordes of Lemote hardware.

They received also Richard Stallman in Beijing (

Their contribution to the documentation is also important, for example with the
Howto "Installing Debian on the Lemote computer" (
