The example there is just for one of the Totem plugins. Linterna Mágica depends on totem-cone and totem-narrowspace, because they handle video/flv and video/mp4. Try to link the libraries for these plugins (libtotem-cone-plugin.so, libtotem-narrowspace-plugin.so). I hope this will finally solve the problem.
