Please try the attached patch. I hope it will work with your phone.
Perhaps it would be better to fallback to the default charset but I
dunno yet how to determine the default charset.
The patch deals still wrong with my Siemens that doesn't support ME memory
type at all and in such case it switches the charset unnecceserily.
