Hi,

On 4/14/07, Carles Pina i Estany <address@hidden> wrote:
I have seen in some places about SyncML language.

I understand that SyncML is a XML file, synchronization standard. I

Or is a standard bluetooth service that is possible to retrieve without
know about each device?

It is supposed to be a standard bluetooth service. But different
vendors have differences in the implementation. Please see opensync
project for the details on syncml. There is also other opensource
framework -- funambol.

It seems that lot of phones supports SyncML. My question is: it makes
sense to work in (for example) Todo notes support for Nokia 6234? Or is
better to move to implement SyncML to retrieve it?

I think FBUS support is much easier than SyncML. But using SyncML
instead of FBUS should work as well.

Why to work in "get todo" for only one mobile if it is possible to for
all mobiles?

FBUS protocol is also shared between various Nokia phones. But indeed
SyncML is much more promising in the future.

Other question: which applications are available in Linux that supports
SyncML? (i don't see lot of things in my Debian)

As I said: see opensnc project. There are various applications using it.

take care,
pkot
