What in CVS is called tagging is the concept of marking a certain version 
(or set of versions in cvs) to be the release we made public, including a 
version number and all.
I use this often to go back the the version my clients run and then run it 
with debugging compiled-in to reproduce a problem and be abe to fix it 
since I have line numbers etc.

I have not found out how to mark a specific version (patch) with a name like 
MYPRODUCT_2_63_RELEASE
Since I can make 3 releases in a week (or 1 in two months..) the idea of 
creating a branch for each version was dismissed quite fast since its just 
not manageble.
But maybe I just used the wrong commands; any thoughts?
