After accepting the GPL they have the right to charge whatever the market
will bear for copies of the derivative.  What they do not have and never
had is the right to charge for licenses for it.

Of course, as IBM is presently teaching SCO, if they can disentangle the
portion of the derivative that is entirely of their authorship from the
derivative they can do with it as they please.
