Good. then we can stop all this software patent indemnity blather with the GPL and go have a nice cold, ice cold beer.
The patent holder may prevent you from using the patented idea in the work, of course. If you do choose to use a patented idea (belonging to someone else) in the work and wish to distribute the work under the GPL, you must arrange for everyone to have the same patent permission that you do.
