Just the followup.

32-bit mode does not help - it allow to compile a little bit lagrer programs
but at some point I'm stuck with the same error.
GCC guys do not respond and it seems for me the resolution of this issue is
dead forever.
So I've got IBM c++ v8 60-days evaluation and will try to make OC work with
that.
I'll keep you inform how it's going

Regards,
Sergey

Hi,

Little bit of bad news about this platform in 64-bit mode.
Due to the major bug in GCC (which looks they are not going to fix) we can't
compile large Cobol programs there.
By "large" I mean (as a sample) the Cobol program about 25000 lines (after
separate SQL preprocessing).

http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=378

Will try to switch OpenCobol back to 32-bit mode and probably to order IBM xlc
and try OC with it.

Regards,
Sergey
