Subject: [open-cobol-list] add1tocobol Meeting Results today.

I wish to thank everyone that joined us for the meeting earlier today. By Tuesday I will have  more thorough list of the details. For now I am just going to briefly state what we went over.

We covered our needs for:

1. Documentation.
2. IDE and Tools.
3. Coding Standards (general recommendations to all cobolers and requirements for inclusion in new add1tocobol projects).
4. add1tocobol modules and applications.
5. Getting OC running on Dreamhost or other systems when you do not have root access.
6. Finding help on the compiler for Roger, since right now it is a one man job.

Several motions were put forth for the creation of a number of committees and sub committees. Announcements will follow on the forums and in the email lists, so everyone can be aware of these.

Moving forward discussion ensued on how often we should meet. First, be aware that we are always available via the forums, email lists and chat room. My nick (aoirthoir) is in there all of the time. We have asked Roger to try to be in there as often as he can. Please be aware with the chat room, that it might take me a while to respond. But you run a greater chance of me seeing you, if you msg me personally, or if you say my nick in the channel. That will cause my client (pidgin) to highlight.

I believe official meetings should be at minimum once every two weeks. Once a month will cause us to lose momentum. So I am going to for the time being put out that the meetings will occur once every week at 9:00am Eastern time. I won't announce the UTC since I had some confusion as to that during this meeting. I will be there next Sunday (one week from today).  Future meetings should run more rapidly as we are now on the same page in agreement with our forward plans and goals.

Many Kind Regards,
--
