I think that OC supports what was added in the '02 Standard, i.e.
Accept field-1 from DATE yyyyMMDD
or
Accept field-2 from DAY YYYYDD
where "YYYYMMDD" and "YYYYDDD" are reserved words (or reserved in context, I
can't remember which)
