Hi,

Would there be any interest in adding an object module generator to
OpenCOBOL?

Since gdb does not understand COBOL, this may be a moot suggestion. It's
certainly possible to teach gdb about COBOL, but would the FSF be
interested in that?

I don't know about the FSF, but I suspect the OpenCOBOL development and
advocacy groups would be interested.

OK, but it would mean a fork. To teach gdb about COBOL requires changing the gdb code. I was under the impression that there was an FSF COBOL. I was wrong.
