There have not been any new releases in a very long time. As well, no one, including me, has been able to register a new user account at opencobol.org. All of that makes opencobol look like a dead project. 

There have also been no CVS updates. As far as i klnow the 1.1 is a beta and should be more recent than 1.0. However, its been in beta for 4 years now, which is ridiculous. 

I and others have asked questions about this but really nothing has changed. 

It would be nice to start to see some progress in the project such as improved support for object oriented COBOL and COBOL 2002.
