A proposal for a gnue appserver object life circle can be
found at the following place:

http://www.gnuenterprise.org/~jan/appserver/object_life_cicle.gif

Remarks:

The picture shows the state diagrams of two objects. The diagram
the left hand side shows the life circle of a business object in general
and the one on the right side shows the states of
the local copy of this business object. A local copy will be created, when
the object gets locked by an user who wants access this object
during an transaction.

The circles with dashed lines in the middle of the diagram are
symbolizing the step where an local copy gets created (the upper circle)
or when the local copy writes its state changes back to the real
business object ( the lower circle).

colors:
   GREEN : stable state
   BLUE : transitional state
   YELLOW : end state
   RED : locked object
