This is something I've planned to do for a while, but never got around to it.
I had planned on doing the same thing Tom described in a later email; i.e.,
highlight the current field in a cream yellow (by default, or another color
as specified in gnue.conf.)

This is intriguing -- I really like this idea, and it would solve several
issues I have with my users (i.e., accidentally editing data when they were
querying, but for some reason, saving afterwards.)
I may look at implementing this. From a coding standpoint, it would be easy to
add.
