[GNUe-dev] Designer? Bug? Report |

Hello.
I have been trying to work with gnue designer to create to some
database forms. I have never had much a chance to get very far, but
in the past I was able to go into designer and at least look at the
structure of a MySQL database and then make a simple form with one or
more fields.
I just had some free time, so i updated my gnue to the latest versions
9which appeared to come out in mid-august) and now I can't even seem
to communicate with the database. Here is all the relevant
information.
My platform are FreeBSD-4.11-STABLE and FreeBSD-5.4-Stable. The
problem is the same on both machines. I have the following versions
installed. Under 4.x I finagled the KMJ ports to install these
versions , but under 5.11 I installed manually installed from the raw
tar files at the gnue web site.
gnue-appserver.0.1.0.tar.gz
gnue-common.0.5.7.tar.gz
gnue-designer.tar.gz
gnue-forms.0.5.6.tar.gz
gnue-navigator.tar.gz
gnue-reports.tar.gz
When I attempt to click on my database, I get the following output
DB000: Traceback (most recent call last):
DB000: File
"/usr/local/lib/python2.4/site-packages/gnue/designer/base/tools/SchemaNavigator.py",
line 220, in __OnExpand
DB000: node.expand()
DB000: File
"/usr/local/lib/python2.4/site-packages/gnue/designer/base/tools/SchemaNavigator.py",

self.navigator.connections.getConnection(self.connection, login=1)

line 321, in getConnection
DB000: parameters = self.getConnectionParameters (connection_base)

line 266, in getConnectionParameters
DB000: raise NotFoundError, connection_name, self._location
DB000: TypeError: raise: arg 3 must be a traceback or None
I know I can access the database. Also, the database requires a
username and password, but I never asked for it. I have tried running
designer with and without the username and password on the command
line.
I am using MySQL-4.1 as the database server.
If there is any more information you need, I'll be happy to provide
it.
