That's fine. Your help has shown that is does not depend on
Ubuntu but very likely on an interaction deep within
wxPython/wxWidgets and the Locale.

Yes please. We will further try to pinpoint the problem. If
we cannot reproduce and fix it we will change the GNUmed
code to not use the problematic date input field anymore.
