Eric,

In concert with your reply, I just got two gpsd-users digests too, something got unstuck!

I am running Ubuntu 13.04 and it installs gpsd 3.6, is this variant compatible with the Earhtmate Hyperformance?

My first interest in the Hyperformance is to get PPS output for NTP, how do I use gpsd to configure and attain such functionality?

The second interest I have is to use gpsd supply GPS positional data to XASTIR. Not being a JSON expert, how would you recommend I configure gpsd to achieve this?

V/R and 73,

Stuart

Can gpsd help me convert its output from rockwell to NMEA?

gpsd will read from a GPS that speaks Rockwell and give you JSON
reports. There is a way to make GPSD generate synthetic NMEA from
these but *don't do it* - those reports are defective compared to
the JSON because NMEA us so badly designed.

Can gpsd help me get PPS output from the receiver for NTP purposes?

Yes.
