I saw that, but there is no info on the GPS chip inside.  The case
looks a lot like some of my SiRFstar GPS.  But without knowing what is
inside it is a crap shoot.

I have mine inside, adjacent to a basement wall.  Just some R-11 and the
outside wood cladding.  It usually works, but it is marginal.
