doc/meref.me.in: Fix style nits.
* Continue migration of terminology from section "level" to "depth".
* Express the computation of the section indentation more in words than
symbols.
* Introduce the name of the chapter number register earlier along with
the notion of the chapter number itself. Continue migration from
declarative mood (and passive voice) to imperative mood in macro
descriptions.
