It seems that you aren't using recent groff versions :-)
groff(7) contains descriptions of *all* requests, escapes, and
built-in registers.

Off-topic: A good friend of mine is working in the German branch of
Motorola. He has stopped reading Dilbert cartoons because it is too
realistic for him...
