and then, assuming it segfaulted again:
gdb $(which guile) core
(gdb) bt full
Backtrace is attached.
What does ???guile --version??? say?
guile (GNU Guile) 2.0.5-deb+1-3
Also, the problem appears to be related to lack of space in /tmp
