Good point! (Somehow I thought there was ‘python2’.)

I don’t know if I’m in an over-engineering mindset or something ;-), but
I still feel keeping versioned directory is more flexible.

After all, parallel installability (info "(guile) Parallel
Installations") is initially intended to solve issues for FHS-style
systems.  Guix has other ways to deal with that.  But still, the same
kind of problems arise when mixing things in a Guix build environment or
profile.
