Currently yes. The plan is to reuse --delete-generations and
--list-generations from ‘guix package’ in ‘guix system’, which would be
more convenient.

Yeah. When ‘guix system --delete-generations’ is implemented, we can
arrange to have it regenerate grub.cfg such that it does not keep
references to now-deleted generations.
