Ouch, I use the same workflow (I mean I symlink a directory with my
packages in GUIX_PACKAGE_PATH), and...

... I have the same problem: guix does not find my packages anymore.
Thanks for finding it! I would spend a lot of time trying to
investigate what's wrong.
